Hello Greenfield Families!
On behalf of the board of the Home and School Association (HSA), we are so excited to welcome you back to school! And an extra special welcome to our new families! Trust you are all in good hands and couldn’t have joined a more amazing community at an incredible school.
For those who don’t know, I’m Jenny Slobotkin (this year’s HSA President). I have a 1st grader, Winnie, and a 3rd grader, Johnny. You’ll be hearing from me throughout the year, so I will keep this first hello brief.
I’m truly looking forward to an amazing year of community building and connecting and will not be able to do it without your help. As a member of the Greenfield community, you are a member of the HSA. Please know we are always open to receiving feedback and are open to ideas anyone may have – we welcome the support and encourage the participation.
In addition to reaching out at any time, I hope you’ll join our HSA meetings which are being held every other month this year – and some are back to in person – to stay up to date about what’s going on at school and to learn how to get involved.
Thanks to our fundraising success at last year’s Auction, I’m happy to report that over the summer we had the school hallways repainted, touched up murals as well as painted new ones, and replaced lobby furniture with new couches, chairs, trophy cases and more. Stay tuned for a few additional things to come!
Finally, I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention this milestone year for Principal Lazar. Happy 15 years of being Principal at Greenfield, Dan!! Thank you for all you do for our children and our school. See Principal Lazar’s Welcome Letter here.
Hope to see you at Chalk the Walk tomorrow at 3 p.m. and at Coffee and Community after drop off on the first day of school.
Let’s do this, Greenfield!! Go RAMS!!
